Hygenic hand disinfection

Disinfecting hands is essential for working in aseptic conditions.

On average, about 90% of all germs are transmitted directly or indirectly via the hands. In order to prevent or at least significantly reduce the transmission of germs, hygienic hand disinfection is an important part of the disinfection measures. Rubbing the hands with suitable alcoholic preparations - if done correctly - results in at least 99.99% germ reduction.

  • Where are the high germ density areas on the hands?
  • How does the EN 1500 rub-in method work?
